Boot camp for Yorkshire's clever clogs

Young entrepreneurs across Yorkshire will gather in Barnsley next month to turn their fledgling business ideas into reality at the annual Graduate Entrepreneurship Boot Camp.

Around 30 entrepreneurial students and graduates will attend the four day residential at Northern College, Barnsley, where guest speakers will include Dr. Kelly Smith, Head of Enterprise at the University of Huddersfield, business experts and young entrepreneurs who have turned their ideas into trading businesses.

Now in its sixth year, the Boot Camp is hosted and organised by the Graduate Entrepreneurship Project.

The project is a collaboration of 10 higher education institutions from the Yorkshire and Humber region and is co-ordinated by the University of Huddersfield.

Louise Bermingham, Graduate Entrepreneurship project manager, said: “Boot Camp provides the region’s entrepreneurial students and graduates with an inspirational environment in which to explore and develop their business ideas. They leave camp armed with a wealth of knowledge to start them on their journey into business.”

This year’s Boot Camp runs from July 2 until 5 July.
