Yorkshire consultancy helping businesses unlock a share of £10m funding pot

A husband and wife led consultancy is helping businesses throughout Yorkshire access thousands of pounds in vital funding to develop and grow.

Inspire2Aspire, based in Doncaster, is the region’s only accredited support provider for the government’s three-year £10million Investment and Contract Readiness Fund.

“The fund is an opportunity for charities or social enterprises to develop an idea that they have always wanted to launch but never had the resources or time to do,” said Sarah Brown of Inspire2Aspire.

The Investment and Contract Readiness Fund provides grants on a rolling basis from £50,000 to £150,000.  Those businesses wanting to access the fund must apply through one of the 12 approved providers.

One organisation that has benefited from Inspire2Aspire’s work is the Stephen Harrison Snooker Academy.  Originally based in Sheffield, the organisation teaches snooker to disadvantaged children and adults, but it was the vision of Inspire2Aspire that helps the company grow said founder, Steve Harrison

“Sarah saw the vision that it could go nationwide, and at the moment we are running services in Stoke, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow instead of being just in Sheffield.  Sarah’s idea and vision has really taken us forward and we are spreading UK wide,” said Steve.

Harrison added the extra push provided by Inspire2Aspire, particularly in the current economic climate, is vital for charities or social enterprises.

Any organisations interested in accessing a share of the £10m funding should contact Sarah Brown by emailing sarah@inspire2aspire.co.uk or visiting www.beinvestmentready.org.uk.
