Julian Viggars To Head Finance Yorkshire

Finance Yorkshire has appointed Julian Viggars as their new head of investment.

The Yorkshire firm, which invests between £15,000 and £2million in small and medium-sized businesses to assist their development, has already injected over £4m into 18 organisations across the region.

Having previously held a directorate position for BioProjects International, Viggars spent the past nine years working for Enterprise Ventures – the organisation that handles the Finance Yorkshire investment fund.

Alongside his new role, Viggars will continue with his previous position as head of technology investment for Enterprise Ventures.

Viggars was enthusiastic about the good work Finance Yorkshire had carried out and believes the company is ‘well placed to identify new investment opportunities.’

Julian Viggars said: “We are seeking to find proven, experienced entrepreneurs and mentors who are looking to build the next big businesses that the region will be proudly associated with.”

The Finance Yorkshire project is supported financially by £90m investment from the European Regional Development Fund, Yorkshire Forward’s Single Programme and the European Investment Bank.
